The anniversary 50th MOS will bring an even more extensive offer and segmentation of the fair into five key areas: MOS – Construction and Home Renovation, MOS – Camping and Caravanning, Tourism and Food, MOS – Craft and Industry Equipment and Materials, MOS – Business Services and Business Opportunities Abroad, MOS – General Consumption Products. This year, MOS will have its first partner country in history, Croatia. Thanks to the country’s proximity to Slovenia and the prolific cooperation between entrepreneurs from both countries, Croatia is opening new opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation. At the 50th MOS, which will take place from 12th to 17th September, as many as 1478 exhibitors from 30 countries will be presented at the fair, 883 of which will exhibit directly.

Comprehensive construction and renovation offer in the eastern part of the showground

The increased segmentation of the fair’s content areas will be accompanied by a slightly modified offer in the exhibition halls. The builders’ joinery programme is moving to Exhibition Hall D, which will complement the comprehensive offer of construction and home renovation in the exhibition halls in the eastern part of the showground. By concentrating the offer in one spot, Celje Fair will further strengthen the largest content area of construction and home renovation; from products and services that households and business users need at the beginning of construction or renovation, to interior equipment.

The hustle and bustle at the fair will be marked by discounts and special offers from the exhibitors, and the visitors can obtain free advice from independent experts. At the 50th MOS, Celje Fair will continue with the project of MOS’s Counselling, which has received very positive feedback in the past. Visitors will be able to obtain advice on the efficient use of energy and the use of renewable sources of energy, as well as advice regarding construction and interior decoration for improved quality of living.

The offer from this content area also continues in the central atrium of the showground. This year the atrium will be marked by the Living Environment of the Third Millenium. Visitors will be able to see the home of the future – a wooden mobile home of the future and everything that comes along with it.

Home on wheels

The anniversary 50th MOS will also be greatly enjoyed by the lovers of active leisure in nature. Motorhome test drives, a major prize game, a special anniversary offer and fun for the whole family will mark the offer in the southern part of the Celje Showground, which will be the exhibition venue for camping, caravanning and outdoor equipment providers.

Celje Fair and the exhibitors would like to send a message to the visitors of the 50th MOS that motorhomes and caravans are the perfect solution for a family vacation. The visitors will be able to learn about these vehicles and test them at the fair. Furthermore, they will learn about the places where they can make themselves at home with their caravans and motorhomes, and the exhibitors will prepare special fair benefits and discounts.

At the camping and caravanning area, visitors can ride the legendary Pony bikes around an obstacle course prepared by Gor kolesa (Rog Bikes). The youngest visitors can enjoy themselves on inflatable bouncers, while Camp Menina and Iška Adventures will take care of outdoor activities.

Croatia – partner country

The Croatian government has entrusted the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts (HOK) with the organisation of the Croatian attendance at the 50th MOS, in cooperation with the Croatian Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts (the Ministry is the coordinator of the entire Croatian appearance at the fair), the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Croatian Chamber of Economy. “The goal of this important regional fair is to further strengthen economic cooperation between the two friendly countries – Slovenia, the host country, and Croatia, the partner country. An important step towards a successful realisation of this goal is a quality presentation of the opportunities and offer of Croatian small and medium-sized enterprises to Slovenian citizens and economic representatives. The fair also offers an insight into the creative and innovative solutions and trends, the introduction of which can contribute to the competitive advantage of small businesses from both countries on the growing, unique market of the European Union,” said the representatives of HOK.

In the Croatian Pavilion in the immediate vicinity of the main entrance to the showground, 30 Croatian manufacturers will present themselves, mostly small and medium-sized enterprises from industries such as: wood processing and manufacturing of furniture, metals and machining, measuring devices and car parts, as well as general consumption products and business services in the field of marketing, publishing and design.

Special place and time will be devoted to workshops where visitors will learn about traditional crafts, such as the making of licitar hearts, which are also on the Unesco Cultural Heritage list. At MOS, Croatia will also present some attractive tourist destinations, and the visitors will be able to enjoy various culinary delights from the varied and rich Croatian cuisine. Participating counties: Međimurje, Varaždin, Krapina and Zagorje, Posavina, Bjelovar and Bilogora, Lika, Nin and Central Dalmatia, Dubrovnik and the surrounding area, Slavonia, Vukovar and Srijem.

There will also be several professional events, such as the presentation of the joint programme entitled Croatian Wood as a Competitive Product. The topic was chosen in order to demonstrate that Croatian design of wooden products with a high added value is of key importance for export competitiveness. There will be a b2b meeting for the tourism sector and a presentation of Croatian franchises that are looking for business partners in Slovenia. Already on the first day of the fair (12th September), Slovenian and Croatian partners will prepare the Slovenian-Croatian Business Forum, where the participants will discuss the opportunities that energy retrofit projects bring for the construction sector of both countries, and talk about urban infrastructure and the management of waste and waste water.

Group presentations of countries at MOS

For the third time already, Exhibition Hall A will host Chinese companies under the common name Premium Brands China. This year, over 30 companies will showcase their offer, primarily in the field of mechatronics (presentations will take place from Tuesday to Friday between  9 a.m. and 5 p.m.). A group presentation will also be prepared by Montenegro and Serbia under the organisation of AP Vojvodina, and India. Each user will donate three euros to Rotary for charity causes. On Friday, 15th September, there will be a round table with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Karl Erjavec about strengthening cooperation in the region, and on Saturday, 16th September there will be a round table with the European Commissioner for Mobility and Traffic Violeta Bulc and the Minister of Economy Zdravko Počivalšek on the topic of green mobility of the future and the region’s leading role in it.
